About Mindee
Artist, musician, entrepreneur, mom

I am a wife and mother of two adult children living in Plano, Texas, liking to think of myself as an accidental artist. I wasn’t someone who could draw or paint growing up—though I did always color within the lines.

Creativity has always been part of my life, starting with music. I have played piano since I was seven and sang from my pre-teen years on, and still do both today. As a kid, I dreamed of becoming a concert pianist or music teacher, with my hands dancing across piano keys rather than holding a paintbrush.

In college, my path shifted toward psychiatry, though music remained a constant as I sang in choirs at Austin College and TCU. I took one art class and barely passed, so a career in art never crossed my mind. Eventually, I found myself in the commercial insurance industry, specializing in oil, gas, marine, and aerospace.

After getting married and having children, I became deeply involved in my kids’ elementary school PTA and took on the role of yearbook creator. That experience reignited my love for visual creativity, and when it ended, I realized how much I missed turning a blank page into something meaningful. Before long, my home was filled with drying paintings, refinished furniture, and canvases in progress—thankfully supported by a very patient husband. If it stands still long enough, it may get painted (people and pets included)!

While I began with acrylics in 2017, discovering watercolor in 2021 changed everything. What once intimidated me became a passion, especially after painting my first animal portrait. From there, pet portraits—and so much more—naturally followed.

At Enchanting Artistry, you’ll find abstracts, palette knife and fluid art, hyper-realistic pet portraits, and even transformed furniture. Take a look around, and if something speaks to you, feel free to reach out. Thanks for stopping by, and check back often—you never know what might brighten your day!

Many blessings,

Designed for you
It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized I loved being able to transform the look and feel of things with paint; it's exciting to change the feel of a room with color, give life back to old and tired furniture, or take a blank canvas and create something from nothing!
Whether it be on a canvas or a piece of furniture, I craft one-of-a-kind art made to be enjoyed and shared with the world and the individual. I believe we should leave the world much better than we found it, so I make everything a little extra colorful!

No piece of art is ever exactly the same—because it is designed for you.
